St. John lighthouse was built in 1853 and it is located on the most distant islet of the small archipelago in front of Rovinj. It is a bare rock cliff 70 x 50 meters size with a relatively easily accessible shore and shallow waters which makes St. John an ideal destination for modern adventurers with small children.
Lighthouse tower is 23 m high and offer fabulous view. The building has two four-bed apartments. The island has a small dock and lift for smaller boats. Attractive underwater landscapes with a wealth of fish species make this an attractive destination for lovers of solitude, fishing and diving.
Beaches

Flattened coast beaches of St. John makes it very suitable for sunbathing. On opposite sides of the islet is there are beaches with shallow waters. Swimmers are advised to be cautious and not to swim away from the coast due to changing ocean currents and bottlenose dolphins which are not allowed to disturbe.
