Montenegro is a small Mediterranean country with rich architectural and cultural heritage, diversity of landscapes and climates, and well preserved natural environment.
The unique nature of Montenegro, generous and miserly, cruel and graceful is situated on the picturesque area of 13.812 km².
In this small area you will find a sea with beautiful beaches, rivers with unique canyons, clear lakes and giant mountains.
Such a beauty takes the breath away and from the first sight every traveller remains eternally in love with Montenegro.
Once it comes into your sight, it will remain forever in your soul. Like a beautiful lady from long forgotten traditions, who bears with pride her rich dress decorated with jewels, before which we do not stay intact.
Nature in Montenegro is divided into three areas: the interior, the mountains, and the coast.
These three areas also have three distinct climates, and this is the reason you will be able to find diverse species of flora and fauna throughout the country.
Montenegro has five national parks.
National park Durmitor with the Tara River Canyon is part of the world natural heritage.
The Tara River Canyon is on the list of international biosphere reserves.
Numerous lakes in the very heart of Montenegro, surrounded by wild and virgin nature, covered by snow peaks of giant mountain masifs, wake up in a man something primordial and show the unbreakable relation of man with nature.
From steep mountain Durmitor she has a glance at the Bay of Boka Kotorska and the rest of Riviera, where the cities are stringed like necklaces – each of them a story for itself. As if you entered into a glorious, solemn and tacit temple, which is based under the blueness arch.
Included in the list of the 20 most beautiful bays in the world, the Kotor Bay is situated between the high rocks that are reflected in its dark blue waters.
In the very south of Montenegro, eternally in love with each other, the Bojana river and the Adriatic Sea have created one of the most beautiful beaches on the Montenegrin coast – the Great Beach.
Great Beach in Ulcinj is 13 kilometres long and characterised by very fine and healing sand.
Montenegro is the first ecologic state in the world (proclaimed in 1991), eagerly visited by tourist from all continents.
Therefore – welcome in the country of dramatic beauty, healthy environment and hospitable people!
