Rafting is experience you should not miss when you are in Montenegro. It is one of the most popular excursions which is characterized by high dose of adrenaline and natural beauty.
The road from your hotel takes us through Podgorica, Niksic, Pluzine, Piva Lake to Scepan Polje. The drive itself goes through really stunning parts of Montenegro.
Upon arrival in Scepan Polje we have breakfast at restaurant on the river bank, then easily we start preparation for the white water rafting. Participants receive all equipment and instructions for safe rafting.
The transfer from restaurant with jeeps to Brstanovica rafting start point is a 20 min drive.
The total time spent on the river is around 2.5 to 3 hours (depending on the season, river flow and speed) and this includes a stop to swim in the waterfalls (depending on river conditions).
Upon completion of the rafting you will have a lunch of local specialties.
Wild, beautiful, clearest mountain river in Montenegro, called «Tear of Europe», springs under Komovi (1.250 m above sea level) and flows through canyon 144 km to Scepan Polje (433 m) where together with the Piva River make Drina River, one of the longest and water richest rivers of South East Europe.
The most attractive part of the canyon – length about 100 km (from Sljivansko to Scepan Polje), abounds with rapids, wild tributaries, sparkling waterfalls, lush various forests whose the trees are few hundred years old and 50 meters high.
One-day rafting from Brstanovica to Scepan Polje is 18 km long. In this part of the canyon there are 21 rapids from total 50 that exist on the Tara River.

For rafting tours please ensure you have: Swimwear and towel, warm clothes for after rafting (even in mid-summer – it can get cold in this region), passport or ID (the rafting takes place close to the Bosnian border. You will not cross into Bosnia but you may need to show ID when passing the Montenegrin exit border to reach Brstanovica)
